Where is the instructions on how to make these into hollow ice globes? That sounds like a really cool idea and nothing like as complicated as that fancy pants molecular mixology – I just plan to make hollow ice gloves and then fill them with vodka – a pure and simple anti-cocktail!

Well cool – a cannon ball made of ice. You can go on a killing spree and the evidence of the murder weapon will melt away. So you can just enjoy your cocktail as the forensic team look for bullets.

These are probably what an Inuit uses for ten-pin bowling.

I used these tovolo ice sphere to make awesome cocktail glasses – my mates were well impressed with my mixology skills. But really, it was a simple cocktail, just served inside a spherical ice cube.

The idea of making large, hollow ice cubes is priceless. I’ve also found that I can put them back in the freezer after filling. At least you can as long as you’ve got strong cocktails inside the tovolo cube. Try neat vodka inside, I think that is what sophisticated Cossacks would do.

I have both the tovolo ice sphere and the silicon ice moulds for jumbo cubes and use bith of them all the time.

I’m not a molecular mixologist but I am a big fan of large quantities of vodka – I’d normally go for the vodka jelly or similar, but on this occasion as was feeling abit posh, so I got myself a tovolo ice sphere and the result was some happy guests, one of whom let see her naked later that night. So on that basis alone, then I have to say when it comes to jumbo ice cubes then tovolo has the biggest balls! ;/

Ha, big frozen balls! I’m thinking frozen ben-wah balls!

Whilst I live the tovolo ice sphere, I now prefer the tovolo giant cubes.

A tip if you want clear cubes is to first boil the water, then chill in fridge before making ice cubes in freezer. Don’t ask why but it makes clear ice cubes.
