Anyway, if you simply put a number such as $160,000 will it track the change?

Not yet. This is on the shortlist of things to do, though. Basically, you'll be able to specify just a section of a webpage you'd like to track -- all the way down to a single number, if you like. It'll probably be a few weeks before this is ready, though.
