All about the Feedwhip Me button
The Feedwhip Me button is a safe, time-saving bookmarklet for creating a Feedwhip subscription.
With just one click, it automatically subscribes you to whatever website you're currently viewing. This saves you the steps of copying and pasting, remembering an URL, or opening up a new browser window. When you're not using it, the Feedwhip Me link just sits in your bookmarks menu, or in your toolbar, taking up hardly any space and not doing anything.
How do I use the Feedwhip Me button?
In order to use the Feedwhip Me button, you need to have it in a convenient place. This is usually in your browser's favorites list, inside your bookmarks menu, or on your links toolbar. Here's what to do:
- Drag the link below onto your browser's "links" toolbar:
If dragging doesn't work, then right-click on the link and select "Add to Favorites..." or "Bookmark This Link...". If you see a dialog box asking about adding an unsafe link, just click yes. (This dialog box appears for any URLs that contain javascript.)
-
Click the Feedwhip Me button whenever you're visiting a page that's worth whipping.
Pop-up blocking and Internet Explorer
Internet Explorer will give you a "pop-up blocked" message when you click on the Feedwhip Me button, since we are opening a new window. This doesn't happen in either Firefox or Opera because their pop-up blocking is a little more sophisticated.
There is a workaround, however: for IE users only, you should control-click on the Feedwhip Me button. That will disable the pop-up blocker for just that one click.
